Research interests


Neural Changes in Aging, Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer's Disease(AD)  化,輕度認知障礙、阿茲海默症與神經結構變化的關係

We aim to characterize changes in regions that may serve as potential biomarkers for diagnosis of AD and prognosis of MCI conversion using multi-modal We hope to provide insight into the microstructural change in aging and neurodegenerative diseases.


Neural substrates of language processing in proficient bilinguals using fMRI                      以核振造影探索雙語人士語言處理 

We are interested in how language learning shapes cognition and how figurativeness and analogical reasoning interact in the bilingual brain. This may provide valuable implications for research on higher-order cognition, and language teaching and acquisition. 


Semantic memory in traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients.                                                    腦傷病患之語意記憶

This project is in collaboration with Dr. Pratik Mukherjee and Dr. Tracy Luks at University of California, San Francisco, USA. The project aims to explore semantic competition in traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients.


Visuospatial attention in TBI                                                                                                     腦傷病患之視覺空間注意力的探討

This project is in collaboration with Dr. Pratik Mukherjee and Dr. Tracy Luks at University of California, San Francisco, USA. We aim to investigate the attention network in TBI patients and healthy controls. 


Functional connectivity in TBI and stroke using MEG                                                          以 腦磁波儀研究腦傷以及中風病患之腦功能連結度

This project is in collaboration with Dr. Srikantan S. Nagarajan, the derector of MEG lab at UCSF. We would like to study the brain oscillations and electrophysiology at the resting state as well as correlations of functional connectivity with neuropsychological performance.


Multivariate analysis and dynamical causal modeling of fMRI data                                     以多變量分析及動態因果模型探討正常人與病人的腦功能連結度

We use multivariate analyses to characterize functional activations in healthy and patient populations. The patient populations include patients with schizophrenia, aging, Alzheimer's disease and TBI. We also perform various types of modeling of imaging data.
